Sometimes you meet some very stringent terms when you apply for a job. Because of the educational requirements you canít get it, even though you have all the experience. Well, friend, itís time to go get that degree. Even if it takes you a few years more, Iíd say itís worth it if you make it.
Some companies never hire you if you don't have at least a diploma. Sometimes also, it's about the promotion. But even while you work you can do some adult education to improve your chances. You don't have to sit down and accept the setback as your fate in life.
A professional engineer is not just anyone, but someone who has the qualification to be referred to as such. That means they have written some examination to get a degree or certificate, or something. The reason why you donít is because you didnít study further, thinking that because you are an adult now, you donít need to be caught dead in a school. Too bad. The truth is that you can do something about improving your lot in life, if you are really willing.
You don't get some jobs unless you are a professional. You are not a professional because you are good at what you do, or because you have been at it for a long time; you are a pro because you have a piece of paper that says you are. And getting that piece of paper means that you have to go to school again. Just for a little bit, but trust me ñ it's worth it.

It could be any degree that you want. Having missed out on education when you were yet young, still doing school might not look like a good option. Adult education has had more than its own fair share of philanthropists. Without them in fact, it might have been too difficult for several programs to get off the ground. However, they began to endow and support institutions back in the days when adult education was little more than an idea, to help fashion it into what it is today.
